This 1955 A-Gasser was built for Don Cosentino.
It has a blown 502 with a straight axle.
This is what we started with.
Too low for Don's taste on this car.

With the stock front sheet metal off, we cut the stock frame and front suspension out from under the car, then fabricated a front frame stub and brackets to locate the straight axle suspension

In goes the motor for mock up. We fabricated the motor mounts, brackets, linkage, radiator core support and more to fit the 502 in this '55.

This is the inside view of the hood showing some modifications that were done.

Front sheet metal back in place.

With proper engineering completed on this project, the car looks great and drives well, even at highway speeds.
